If you really want to know some of the innuendos and such behind the anime,
there's an article about it on the website www.wikipedia.com that details quite a bit.
It actualy specifically answers some of those very ones you asked.
Just go to wikipedia and type in Paranoia Agent in the subject box. They talk
about that and more. It's actualy quite interesting, but unfortunately there's
still a lot of loose ends. ^_~
So for all of those you in college right now or graduated or even those who are
still approaching it. . . . . . how did you choose your major?
I've just finished my freshman year of college and even now I'm still having
doubts about what I want to do. You see, the problem isn't that the work is too
difficult or that I'm not sure about what I want to do. . . it's that I want to
do TOO MUCH! I just can't fathom how you can narrow so many interesting
things down to one! I guess the second biggest thing is, not wanting to regret
my decision later.
So in the end, how did you know that your decision is/was the right one?
Hey, the easiest jobs to get (usually) is things with retail. If this is your
first job, start out small and build up. You can try waitressing or be a clerk/
sales representative at a restaurant, convience store, or department store/mall
respectively. They're not the most fun, but when starting out, money is money.
^_^
Good thing about waitressing too is that you make all your money at night. Sure,
you make your money off tips and if those are bad or business is slow, it pretty
much sucks, but you don't have to worry about not have cash on had at least.
Paychecks are pretty much pointless in waitressing, so it's kind of like getting
your money in hand.
But really, if those don't suit you, then just look for something that interest
you or at least keeps you busy while paying decent.
Phew! I just finished my freshman year of college. In all honesty, college.. . .
MUCH better than high school. But like some people have said, there are some not
so great things. Unless you're aspiring to get into a very expensive/advanced
college, don't stress out too much over your entrance exams. Most colleges are
pretty lenient.
As for the professors. . .hmm. . some _are_ crazy. But don't
stress. Sometimes you'll find some really cool teachers in college. Depending on
whether you go to a college based on quarters (3 or 4 if you go in the summer)
or semesters (2. . .3 I guess if you go in the summer), you'll be spending a lot
less or about the same amount of time with a teacher as you would in high
school. Some of these teachers, based on your major, you will see MANY times
over. Definitely learn to be noticed as a student. No, I'm not saying kiss up
and be the annoying kid who knows ALL the answers. :P Just be able to approach a
professor when you have a question. Even if you don't completely like them or
they're teaching style, always summon the guts to ask for help. If they pretty
much suck in general and don't offer any, then always seek help from classmates
or tutors. ^_^ In the end, you have to remember that you wont have them the
whole time, so if you don't like them, just suck it up and suffer through it,
you only have to do this once. . . if you don't fail.
Sleep. . . ahh. . . It really depends. When You set up your first
quarter/semester of classes, be careful. If you have a hard time getting up in
the morning DO NOT schedule an early class. If that's the only one available, so
be it, but if not, don't. Yet, if you're a person who wishes to work on campus
(like a Federal Work Study job) you might want to consider thinking about taking
early classes so you'll have enough time to work at night AND do any studying
you might need. . . and . . . oh yea. . . SLEEP! It's true that 5 hours of sleep
can be a luxury sometimes, but its only that bad when you waited too late to
study for a test (aka PROCRASTINATION and some late night cramming ^_^), but its
only really bad around finals and midterms. Then everyone is practically dead,
but mostly from frying your brain from studying too much (again from doing it
too late). So in general, your amount of sleep depends on how well you balance
your time.
So in the end, I think college is well worth it. Don't stress out so much about
it. It seems really intimidating at first (I wanted to go home the first few
days), but it becomes an experience unlike any other. Those who are priviledged
to go are in for a world of eyeopeners, but as long as you study enough
(cramming works too! ^_^), don't slack off too much, and learn to relax without
getting into trouble, you'll have fun.
Hope this helps and I wish you good luck on your entrance exams.
I've actually started seeing Paradise Kiss ^_^ I read the manga already and they
seem to stick pretty close to the original storyline which is great because the
story is awesome already. Outside of
that I watch Ghost in the Shell: SAC (So sad. . . I missed the last episode, so
I've got to wait until they get there again). Haven't seen a ton of new stuff
though. Ah well. ^_~
I unfortunately neglected to stay after the credits and see this "spoiler
scene" that everyone seems to mention. I personally loved watching the
X-Men show when I was little. So, when it came to the movies being produced, it
was great. Not many films really do justice to the Marvel comic heros. . . .at
least not in the eyes of the REALLY avid fans. Anywho, I
think they did good with the storyline on this. Each movie has been a building
improvement. I think they got the Phoenix down REALLY well. Jean was super scary
with that hideously pale and almost alien face.
She didn't really act on anger as much, but they got that part down really well.
I think there are some points they could have improved on though. I dunno. The
special effects were incredible and transitioned very smoothly in the movie.
Yet, in the end I was especially awed or anything. It was indeed a good movie,
but it felt like something was lacking. In comparison, I never feel this after
watching the Spider-Man movies. ^_^
As for an X-4. . . hmm. . . if they don't do a SPECIFIC movie for the series, I
do think they'll continue with a side story like some people mentioned with
Wolverine or with some other character. The comics always seemed prone to do
that. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. ^_~
Oooh. I HATE pictures. I
like TAKING the picture, but I hate being in it. Dunno why, I guess I never like
how I look and personally, I just don't like plastering fake smiles on my face.
Plus I hate getting red eyes in pictures all the time. :P
Some music moves me and makes me feel exhilerated, wanting to scream and jump,
giving my feeling a voice and an action. Yet, there's some songs that REALLY
make me mellow out and sink. Not that they're necessary depressing, but they
just have that incredibly sober and slow music that makes you feel like you are
sinking into the ground and can't stop. Interesting, no?
I absolutley LOVED that movie. I'm a scary movie fan, but lately some of the
movies coming out are just nasty and gory. . . not really scary. The kind of
movies that really give me the shivers are the kind that make you think. Crazy,
no?
Anywho, there were some gross parts in Silent Hill, but the mystery behind it
and how they brought the characters from the game to life . . . well. . . let's
just say they did a really good job! I've never
gotten past Pyramid Head on Silent Hill 2 (only one I played
They're too scary to play alone), so before seeing this, there were still a lot
of doors unopened. I think they did great in creating the storyline. The
characters were great and true to their role (well, as original characters for
the most part).
Resident Evil. . . feh .. . disappointment indeed.
Silent Hill. . . . very well done.
Ooh. . . this is a toughie. The scariest bad guys was definitely Silent Hill 2
for me. The scariest story line probably Fatal Frame 2: The Crimson Butterfly.
And as for the scariest situation (like not being able to beat the boss) was
Clock Tower 3.
As long as they don't try to dress like girls, I'll be alright. If he
had long curly hair. . I think that'd be a problem too. I wouldn't want both of
us having to deal with long curly hair. :P I dunno. For some guys, they look
_fine_ with long hair. Some though. . . eww. . . they look like they either
haven't bathed for days (gets greasy) or else they just. . . don't look too
good. ^_~
You know it's funny. I think a while back I commented on this and declared my
utter loathing, abhorance, and black-hearted HATE for math. . . . but now. . . I
dunno.. . .it's actually alright.
Weird, no?
You know how they say that it's the teacher that can make all the difference? I
truly believe that now. I used to hate history, got a pretty cool teacher,
learned to love it. When it came to math, I've had decent teachers, but none
were really that fabulous. Now, I've got a great teacher, I UNDERSTAND my math
(wow, I know. ) and I'm actually doing alright. The fact that I'm taking calculus
and saying this I think is a big enough statement in itself.
I'm not the greatest in math, but I do love the little puzzles they present
sometimes. It might take a long time to solve some problems, but once you
finally do it, and for the most part, on your own, you feel like you're on top
the world. . . or something like that. ^_~
Wow. . . I'm really not sure what it means anymore. I found several meanings:
palm tree, perfect one (yea right!), and dark side of the moon. Hmmm.. :/ Ah
well. . . as for the last name. . hahahaha. . . No clue. ^_~
Hahaha. Since I've been in college, my normal time for falling asleep during the
week is 1 or 2 am. If it's the weekend? Ha! A whole 'nother story. I'm not the
one to go drink and party, that would mean getting tired quicker. No, I usually
end up reading or something staying up until like 4-5 am.
Ouch. What math level is it? If it's easy and you know you can do it, than save
the trouble of being yelled at and take it. Plus, if you can graduate early,
than go for it. If you're going to college afterwards, than getting in early
might seem tough, but it's well worth it to start as soon as possible. But, if
you think that it's gonna be hard and you'll just suffer through it, just enjoy
life as is. You've got what, 2 years left in school and you want to take the
most from it. Not just academic knowledge, but life knowledge (what can more
applicable ^_^?). Anywho, good luck! ^_~
Oy. . . I dunno. . . either techno or classical music. But then
I start delving into everything. From different languages to different beats.
^_^ I guess everything but. . . country. . . evil. . .>_<
I've watched almost all of Hayao Miyazaki's major films and I loved them all.
I saw
Howl's Moving Castle just recently and it was fantastic indeed. The artwork, the
story,. . . ^_^ Absolutely fantastic. Though, of all his movies, my favorite is
My Neighbor Totoro. In a lot of Miyazaki's films, there's a lot of childish
fantasy, for which, no matter how old you get, will never cease to
impress.
I guess that's why I like movies like Spiritied Away and such. They just open up
all the doors to the imagination that were left shut for so long. ^_~
Hmm. I guess sometimes. Really it's how I start the day though. I mean if it's
rainy and thundering and such, I can absolutely love it. Heck, when it comes to
the summer time, yes, sunny days are nice, but. . . humidity. . . ARRRGGHHH! I
HATE it!
This may sound odd, but I actually love the winter and fall much more than the
summer and spring. I don't know, it just seems to clean and crisp. It makes me
feel calm and whole. Corny, I know.
Ohhh. . .there's too many! Let's see. . .
Ghost in the Shell and Innocence
Jin-roh: Wolf-Brigade
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Tokyo Godfathers
My Neighbor Totoro
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
Metropolis
Ya, I think that covers most of them. ^_~

Texhnolyze: OST1
Samurai Champloo: Katakana . . I think
I'd have more, but hey, I'm a college student, and money can be hard to come by. ^_^
Sorry, I just love AkanexRanma. I like all the standard couples. If that wasn't possible, then I'd say MoussexAkane and RanmaxUkyo. ^_~
A desktop with Genma from Ranma 1/2 on it walking away in his panda form. ^_^
